Mauri Mauri ngkami!!!
sorry i didn't email last week! I went to the hospital instead and helped out a family.
Me and
elder
Jubeck went to the hopspital to visit a family. The wife was getting
surgery on tuesday and the husband couldn't leave her and they were very
poor. Me and
elder jubeck went and bought them
wonton soup from a chinese restaurant and brought it to them. They loved
it so much. I was so glad that we had an opportunity to help out a
family who was in dire need of our help. I know that it wasn't a lot but
they were able to feel of the Lord's love.
So, Me and
elder hoggan got moved! not to an outter island but to the other side of the main island. We are working in 2
elders
ward where we will be staying until we go out to tabiteuea north. We
are staying in a small house which is way nice. It uses rain water
instead of well water! There is only 2 beds that the other
elders use so me and
elder
hoggan sleep on the ground which I would rather do anyways. I'm still
sleeping on my woven mat called a kie. We found a super old woman in
this area from the outter island of kiribati called Onotoa. We gave her a
Book of Mormon and she said she is going to finish it. She is taking
all of the lessons suprisingly well. So She is super nice. She is also
helping me out with my kiribati as well. She is super nice and loves to
lesson and talk. she is 78 years old. Which is freaking amazing because
nobody lives past like 80!! haha
Not much has happened besides that. Me and
elder hoggan are living it up here. We love the work and I love all of you!

Guess I should explain... I had a bootaki with just a ton of old men and women. Me and
elder
jubeck cooked fish with american spices he got in a package and they
were delicious. the 3rd pic is of a plate we made for our kiribati
mother and when we gave it to her... she freaked out and inhaled it.
When her kids reached for some she yelled at them and smacked their hand
away. She is so funny. The last one is of me and
elder
jubeck at a baptism. It was close to low tide so we GOT to go out into
the lagoon to where it was deep enough to do the baptism. It was super
fun and I almost tripped and fell in... ON ACCIDENT I PROMISE!
